Cilantro Announces Closure

After 30 years of operation, Cilantro restaurant located in the heart of Calgary’s beltline will be closing its doors at the end of the 2019 summer season – specific date of closure to be determined.

“It is with heavy hearts, together with a sense of optimism for the future, that we announce the closure of Cilantro,” says Larkin O’Connor, Business Development Manager. “Over the last 30 years, we have welcomed countless guests through our doors, and we would like to thank our valued patrons, loyal regulars, dedicated staff and the community for supporting Cilantro over the years.”

New Year’s Eve 2018


Join us for a special three or five course menu on December 31

We all know the feeling: scrambling to make the perfect New Years Eve plans, which rarely live up to our grand expectations. This year, we want to change that.

To ring in the new year, join us for a special three- or five-course set choice menu crafted by Chef Lance and his talented culinary team at Cilantro. Complementing the menu, each person will receive a glass of sparkling wine included with dinner. 

For those with after-dinner or early-evening plans, our three-course dinner option beginning at 5 p.m. will to allow you to fuel up with a delicious dinner before heading off to celebrations further afield. For those looking for later plans to enjoy into the evening, we will also be running a five-course set choice menu starting at 7:30 p.m. until midnight.

*We request that all three-course diners abide by our 2 hour maximum dining duration.*

We are extremely excited to announce the debut of Cilantro’s Winter Dinner Series on January 23, February 27 and March 20, 2019.

Chef Lancelot Monteiro along with CRMR’s Wine Director, Brad Royale will be teaming up again for these intimate and engaging evenings of food and libations. There are only 22 tickets available for each of these dinners which will take place in Cilantro’s upstairs lounge.The evenings will be hosted by Brad Royale who will walk you through hand-picked wines that have been carefully paired with 3 courses and 1 amuse-bouche prepared by Cilantro’s culinary team.

The evening will start with a Glenmorangie based opening cocktail crafted by CRMR’s Wine Director Brad Royale, followed by a four course dinner prepared by Chef Lance Monteiro and his culinary team at Cilantro.
